Instrument Interfaces
The ability of a LIMS to automatically send orders to clinical instrumentation as well as automatically receive results is vital to the efficient laboratory.

ApolloLIMS Instrument Interfaces offer both unidirectional and bidirectional instrument interfaces. ApolloLIMS has successfully developed interfaces to many manufacturers, including Roche, Olympus, Hitachi, Dynex, Applied Biosystems, Abbott and Bayer.

Key Features
• Instrument results can be automatically merged into ApolloLIMS or the laboratory technician can choose to review the results and then manually merge. If enabled, auto-merge will always follow the pre-defined limitations defined for each result code.

• The Instrument Interface Manager will always allow the laboratory technician to quickly see which instruments are running. Multiple instruments may be started or stopped with a few mouse clicks.

• The user has the capability to review data being passed between the instrument and the LIMS in real time (raw instrument format). A great tool for trouble shooting problems!

• ApolloLIMS provides the laboratory technician the ability to perform complex calculations which can combine results from several instruments or even results that are manually entered.

• If the instrument has the capability, instrument QC can be passed back to the LIMS and reviewed with the QC module.

• Interpretations can be made in ApolloLIMS by utilizing the conditional calculation definitions. These expressions can range from simple to complex. The system can be extended by use of locally defined stored procedure giving unlimited flexibility.
